Bikini transfer tool - Manual
What does this tool do:
This tool is used to share livery-files (*.MAS) with friends on an different way:
- liveries can be seen on server without skintransfer, but with loose skintransfer enabled (1 or 2)
- eliminating the need to use the workshop of rFactor 2 for spreading livery-files
- We collect the files and necessary information, and make them available to other drivers
When can I use this?
- You need to register with your email address. register
- After confirmation, you'll receive a token and a secret to fill in the program, together with a link to the setup.
- Install the program
- Fill in the settings of the program (included SteamID)
- Restart to begin
- Use the tool
- Select livery synced by to the tool to your computer
How do I make livery files?
Follow this link to the s397 manual or search the internet.
What are the file-name requirements of the MAS-file
- Filenames should start with "alt_"
- Maximum length of 13 characters counting after "alt_"
- The file name of the mas file and the files within the mas file must both be the same at first.
- Filenames are checked by the tool
How can I use the tool?
- Start the program, settings are checked every time its started
- Upload a personal livery or use one from the gallery
- Because of the initial phase of the tool, liveries are shared with everyone. You can change that in settings
- Do a manual synchronisation of the files to your disk
Can other users use my livery?
- We block uploading a file if it already has been uploaded, but people can alter a mas-file to make it unique again.
- Each driver has always to select which livery he is using, he can use a livery of other drivers but doenst make it viewable by others
- The playerid of a driver from rFactor 2 is a part of the filename when synchronizing those files to other computers
How do you know which files has been transfered by this tool on my disk?
For every MAS-file, we add a BTT file with some description of the mas file. You can find this in the directory.
Do I need to select a livery in the game?
Yes! You need to select your livery in the game, with the playerid in front of it! of the correct vehicle!

Why do you collect SteamID?
To identify users in case of fraud and maybe for purposes on sharing liveries.
What are the future plans of this tool
Depends on a lot of things:
- Hosting cost
- The amount of time I need to put in
- The future of rFactor 2
- Security issues
- Does it work for users
- ...
